Sara Björk

Sara Björk Hauksdóttir studies Fine Art in Iceland University of the Arts and plans on graduating next spring. She has also studied painting at Idun Lovén School of Art in Stockholm and at Wiks Folk University in Uppsala. Sara is also a midwife and has a master's degree in law. Sara´s work is characterized by experimentation in materials and methods. Her paintings often lie on the border of the objective and the abstract, where chaotic spaces form a landscape inspired by poetry. Recently she has increasingly used the same methods in three dimensional space using installations where the viewers themselves become participants in the artwork.
