Korkimon
Korkimon is a visual artist born in 1995 in Reykjavík, Iceland. They graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in New York with a concentration in visual arts, art history and gender studies. Struggling to resist towing the line of mediocrity, Korkimon gallops from one interesting hole to the next, never taking the time to rest easy — a plateau on which they suffer but seem quite content. New works unveil themselves like long-neglected garments, well fermented ideas that seemed futile at the time but kept accessible for that moment of reveal. Korkimon works in numerous mediums including drawing, collage, sculpture, and most recently painting.
